About The Dedra Clark Flute Studio

      I am currently teaching in Riverside County and Diamond Bar.

     Students in the Dedra Clark Flute Studio can expect to have one lesson per week unless otherwise specified. In these lessons students will learn tone production, articulation (tonguing), scales, musical phrasing and technique, sight-reading and basic flute repertoire. While preparing for Certificate of Merit in the Spring, students will also learn theory and ear training.

     Students in my studio participate in many competitions. These competitions help students build confidence while also enabling them to receive prizes for their efforts, which look great on college applications!

     Along with competitions these students have two opportunities to play for their friends and family in the Winter and Spring Recital. This is a great opportunity for the students to show how much they have improved as well as play fun music. After each recital there is a reception with lots of yummy food for everyone to enjoy.

     This Studio is not only designed for learning (which is guaranteed to happen) it is also to foster a lifelong enjoyment of music and of playing.
